    Hello everyone,

Okay so I had to repost a review that my company received from another blogger.  It is a great article and I know you will enjoy reading it.  As some of you may or may not know I am ceo/founder of my own company and often include pics of my product in the articles I write.  So with that said I just wanted to share with you what someone else thinks of my company products and let you judge for yourself.

I appreciate each and everyone of you and those that write me and comment I do read each and every comment that I receive.  Please visit the site that did the review, and for those of you who have asked me for recommendations on other sites, I highly recommend this site!!  I will be back soon with another article giving you information and updates on makeup tips and tricks, until then be blessed and stay forever DIVA-LICIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something informative to read?

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

Wow that was strange. I just wrote an extremely long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Anyways, just wanted to say superb blog!

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. However think of if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this blog could definitely be one of the greatest in its niche. Superb blog!

I think that everything composed was very logical. However, think on this, what if you added a little content? I ain’t saying your information isn’t solid., but what if you added a headline that grabbed a person’s attention? I mean Fort Point » 1898 wharf near summer st is a little vanilla. You ought to look at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create article headlines to get viewers to click. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about what you’ve got to say. In my opinion, it might make your posts a little bit more interesting.

MaKEuP iN tuNe wItH tHe SEaSon

Did you know that you really should change your make-up with the seasons? It really does reflect on your appearance. Here’s a quick guide on how to do your make-up all year round.

    Spring
You aren’t still wearing the same old makeup colors that you wore last winter are you? Spring is coming and there are some great new colors to check out.
For eye shadow, bright bold colors are IN. There are  great pinks, deep purples and awesome blues, not to mention oranges, greens etc. to check out as well.  Play up your eyes with these new shades.

There are great new mascaras that make eyelashes long and thicker.   The look of false lashes can be obtained, creating that spiky look that is soooooooooooo popular.   One end fortifies and lengthens the lashes and the other end coats the lashes with lush color.   And when they say that is makes your lashes longer… it definitely works that way for me.

I challenge you to test out DivaGlam’s foundations they are definitely worth sharing  .They have mineral pressed and loose powder foundations, jojoba liquid foundation as well as HD foundations that give you that airbrushed finish.  Specializing in hard to find colors, custom blending different from what is on the market at the moment.   And the best part, it offers flawless coverage, but to anyone else, it’s just you.

To blush for this season try a mixture of pink and peach, for lighter complexions, peach and bronze for medium skintones, and bronzer with golden tones for darker skintones.   Two colors warm up  complexions perfectly.  Try mixing the shades that you have and see how it works for you.

    Summer
Full face make-up is not really necessary any more (no matter what your age).  And in the summer who wants full make-up on their face?   Use a tinted moisturizer rather than a regular foundation.  Also foundation applied to you t-zone is acceptable and add a sheer powder over entire face after will do very nicely.  It will even out your skin tone and is so much lighter.

As far as fragrance goes, keep your summer fragrance light and fresh. A cologne or toilet water spray with some of the new aromatherapy scents is perfect. You can always go back to your regular or a heavier perfume at first frost. Overall, just think light, airy, sunny, and you can’t go wrong with less make-up in the summer.

Remember, “LESS IS MORE”, especially as you get older.  Take what you see in magazines and on tv and make it YOUR own, those LOOKS are only guidelines for you to use.  If you remember this then you will always be a FASHION DIVA!!!

    b’HUE-tifullly yours,

    MeChelle

    Your DIVA-LICIOUS Hues

    Your DIVA-LICIOUS Hues

    Powder

A light dusting of powder on the eyelids will help to set eye shadow and extend the wear.
To set your makeup for a polished look, swirl a large soft makeup brush in the powder and dust it lightly over your face.
.How to Apply Mineral Makeup for Ethnic Women
Mineral make-up has become popular in recent years because it light on your face, doesn’t clog your pores like cream based and liquid make-up and it’s made from natural earth ingredients.

Some people have criticized that mineral powder fail to provide complete coverage. This is not true – it’s all about how you apply the makeup.

Here’s how to Apply DivaGlam Mineral Makeup (Shake, Tap and Brush)

1.Wash and dry your face with a gentle cleanser. Apply a moisturizer if needed, and allow it to completely absorb before applying your mineral makeup.

2.Shake a little of your mineral foundation into the lid of your foundation container.

3.Take your large kabuki brush and gently tap the bristles into the powder. Tap the brush on the side of the lid to shake off any excess until it looks as if your brush has no makeup on it at all.

4.Brush onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around the remainder of the face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you’re satisfied with the coverage. Remember, a little goes a long way. You can always increase coverage by adding additional layers.

.How to Select Eye Makeup that Complements Ethnic Skin

Your eyes are your face’s most prominent feature. Eye shadow contours, eyeliner defines and mascara adds length and drama to your lashes. Your perfect palette depends on the depth of color in your skin, as well as its undertones.

1.Determine if your skin has warm or cool undertones. If you have darker skin, accentuate your eyes with shadows and liners whose colours are richer and deeper in intensity.

2.Enhance a warm complexion with eye shadows that range between soft orange and rust, from honey to cinnamon.

3.Complement cooler complexions with eye shadows in varying shades of blue, purple and pink. Green flatters skin that has both warm and cool undertones. Blue-greens complement cooler complexions, and brownish, earthy greens enhance warmer ones.

4.Add glamour to a warm complexion with coppery or golden eye shadow. Pearly purple or silvery blue shadows will glamorize a cooler skin tones.
.Selecting the right make-up for ethnic skin…
Since skin tones vary greatly among ethnic women, finding the right face makeup can be tricky. The wrong makeup can lead to an ashen or flat complexion, but with a little insight and a lot of experimentation, you can minimize the guesswork and put your best face forward.

    Instructions

1.Look beyond your skins colour and examine its undertones. Rich black complexions usually have cool undertones, while brown and caramel complexions have warm golden undertones.

2.Choose from shades that appear to be in your colour range and may complement your undertones. Remember that foundation will look different on your skin than it does in a bottle or on a thumbnail palette.

3.Always try foundation on your jawline to get the best idea of a colour match.

4.Set your make-up with a loose translucent powder.

5.Contour your cheekbones with a sweep of blush. Plums, currants and mauves will flatter a medium to dark complexion. Caramel, honey and apricot will complement a medium to light complexion.

6.Bronzer is an alternative to blush for those with a warmer complexion. Dust a light coating over the face, contouring at temples and cheekbones.

.Things to Consider When Buying Make Up Foundation

Custom blending foundation is a service that DivaGlam Cosmetics offers for dark skin since the skin tones can be darker in some areas, such as the forehead, and lighter on the cheeks. We can create a foundation made especially for YOU. It is YOUR own personal foundation, no one else will have it and you can be sure to get the right color for you everytime.

    Lipstick

For most women with dark skin tones, the wrong shade of red can destroy the perfect look. Women with dark brown or deep black skin can use lipstick in various shades of red, while those a little lighter will find that coffee and deep reds work best. Women of mixed race and very light skin tones will find that lipsticks in pink and peach will do wonders. However, you can rarely go wrong with lip colours in terracotta, purple, toffee and berry.

Neutral coloured lip gloss is also wonderful on the lips of black women.

Using light shade lipsticks will minimize the size of large lips while darker shades will make lips look larger.

    Eye Shadow and Eyeliner

When it comes to eye makeup, women with dark skin tones can experiment with lots of different coloured eye liners and mascara.

Those who are looking for more natural-looking colours can go with earth tones such as browns, gold, cinnamon and caramel.

To really bring brown eyes into focus, nothing works quite as well as blue eyeliner.

    Blush

As a general rule, very dark-skinned women do not need blush. However, if you decide to add blush to your make up, choose from shades of bronze, plum, mauve and wine if dark coloured.

Nevertheless think about if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this site could undeniably be one of the very best in its field. Excellent blog!

    Divanista Winter

    DivaGlam Cosmetics

When the weather turns cool and crisp, it’s time to get back to serious fashion.

Red is the breakout color this year and it’s showing up not only in dresses and sweaters, but the surprise new must-have pair red skinny leg jeans. Beautiful Red suits are the rage, pantsuits as well as shirt and jacket, pair with diva-liciously red shoes and set a fashion statement all your own.

Basic black is back big-time. The LBD (little black dress) is everlasting because it makes us feel slim, sophisticated and confident. It’s a no brainer.

Black and white is a season-less stunning classic, (think CHANEL).   A wool houndstooth jacket or coat makes an eye-catching wardrobe add-on. The ubiquitous black skirt, white shirt ensemble is a sure thing when nothing else pleases.

Putting on the glitz came way pre-holiday this year. There’s sparkle and shimmer on anything and everything, even boots are awash with sequins. Stones and glitter adorn hats, gloves, tee shirts and sweatshirts to glam up the unexpected.

Animal prints, especially leopard is back every year it seems, python print is also very in right now.  You can find these prints especially in boots and shoes.  Easy to add to your wardrobe without going overboard and yet still being in fashion.   The fashion gurus must want it to join the classics. Faux fur vests, shrug jackets, hats and scarves are cozy and warm. Python print is something new on the scene.  Remember take this fashion trend and make it your own signature style . It’s not just for shoes and handbags. A python print dress in a soft fabric is a definite wardrobe add-on.

Leggings and jeggings have really caught on. Teamed with an over-size sweater or peasant blouse and a tall pair of boots, they are as comfortable as a sweat suit for lounging and/or a stylish outfit for a weekend brunch date.

Accessories can really make an outfit shine. Embellished cuff bracelets and intricate, statement necklace designs are works of art. Chocolate diamonds are another way to complete a fall/winter look. So accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! Bling is VERY IN, SO GO FOR IT!!!! feathers are everywhere, hoops with large balls and crystals, necklacesthat make a stand alone statement.   So go for it.

    DivaGlam (basketball wives) earrings

Winter-weight clothes call for more intense makeup. Exaggerated cat eyes dominate the fashion pages. For the right occasion on the right person, it’s a definite “WOW”. New gel-based eyeliners glide on like silk and stay put. Finish the look with charcoal metallic shadow winged up and out. Balance bright clothes with high intensity lips. Red lips are front and center. When time is of the essence, a swipe of black mascara and a swirl of a light bronzer will get you out the door  looking “done up” in record time!

    Diva-Liciously yours,

    MeChelle

    Winter-Licious Foundation

    Makeup Foundation for Winter

Throughout the year, our makeup needs change just as our wardrobe needs change. Winter is a notoriously hard time of year for the face, which is often the only part of our bodies that are exposed to the elements. Foundation should be considered to be your second skin, only better, so using the right tools can help keep your face looking fresh and natural through the coldest winter months.

During winter, the skin tone can be quite different than it was during the summer months. In order to keep your face looking natural, always choose a foundation that closely matches your skin tone throughout the year. In winter, our skin tone tends to be at its palest, so make sure to test a foundation before you buy it. Try a small amount on your skin and let it set for a couple of minutes, and look at the results in the best light available.

Testing is important even if you feel you’ve got a perfect match in the bottle because the natural acid in our skin can change the tint of the foundation. If you tend to experience dryer skin during the winter months, try out a foundation that advertises hydrating properties.

Moisturizer is an essential part of your makeup routine during the winter months. Keeping your skin hydrated will prevent your skin from drying or flaking. Ideally, your moisturizer or foundation should include sunscreen, especially during winter, when the sun can be quite harsh. After your moisturizer is set, apply concealer as you need it. The concealer should also match your skin tone, and it can help hide the appearance of dark circles under the eyes or red blemishes.

Finally, apply the foundation lightly with your fingertips. The goal is to use a small amount or all over coverage, which helps keep the face looking fresh and healthy. Remember, you can always add more in areas where you need it.

At DivaGlam Cosmetics we offer Mineral and Liquid Foundation loaded with moisturizers and vitamins to help protect and put back into the skin what nature has taken away.  It is also during this time of year when a switch from powder to liquid may be recommended.  Custome blended foundation is also a route you may consider taking as well, we make the foundation to match your skintone exactly.  That means for you that it is YOUR FOUNDATION no one else will have the color since it is created especially for you and you alone.

Please stop by the site and make an appointment for YOUR custom foundation, treat yourself to a very special Christmas present especially for YOU.

    Divaliciously yours,

    MeChelle

    Your DIVA-LICIOUS Hues

    “HAVE A DIVA-licious DAY”

Some people have criticised that mineral powder fail to provide complete coverage. This is not true – it’s all about how you apply the makeup.

Here’s how to Apply DivaGlam Mineral Makeup (Shake, Tap and Brush)

1.Wash and dry your face with a gentle cleanser. Apply a moisturiser if needed, and allow it to completely absorb before applying your mineral makeup.
